Fairfax Women's Fastpitch - Welcome

Fairfax Women's Fastpitch is a Fastpitch Softball League based in Northern Virginia. We are comprised of female players of all skill levels, age 18 and older, with the desire to continue playing competitive Fastpitch softball beyond High School and College.

Rain Policy
Inclement weather can happen at any time, and in Northern Virginia, it often rains in part of the region and not in the other. Fairfax Women's Fastpitch's rain policy is as follows:

1. For County fields such as Towers Park, please check the county's website for field closures. Fairfax Fastpitch does not control these fields and the decision to cancel games lies solely on the CRS division of Fairfax County.

2. For High School Fields, our website will be updated if games are cancelled prior to 4pm. IMPRORTANT NOTE: If games are not cancelled by 4pm, each team is required to show up at the field ready to play. Only the umpire can call the game after 4pm and teams not showing up to play will forfeit.

Games start at 7:00 pm!
Games are played in Fairfax County on lighted softball fields. Games are played as double-headers one night per week with the first game commencing at 7:00 pm. Games are officiated by two umpires from the Northern Virginia Fastpitch Softball Umpires Association. NCAA optic yellow softballs are used, metal or plastic cleats may be worn, and the pitching distance is 43 feet.

The Fairfax Fastpitch League officers and coaches are gearing up for a successful and exciting season. We are recruiting new coaches, developing more detailed league rules, and promoting the league to prospective players.

Without volunteer coaches, we cannot guarantee that all players who sign up will have an opportunity to be added to a roster. Fairfax Women’s Fastpitch relies on volunteer coaches to make the league successful. Coaches can join the league in one of two ways:

1. If a coach has a team assembled, he or she may contact us and we can add the coach and team; or
2. If a coach does not have a team assembled, he or she may contact us and that coach can assemble the team of his/her choice from a database of available players.
